What is Hard Water?

Hard water is water that has high mineral content, specifically calcium and magnesium. The lower the mineral concentration, the softer the water which leads to healthier, softer skin, shiny, strong hair, and softer, cleaner clothes. Water hardness is the most common problem found in the average home, and Ohio is no different as it reflects extremely hard water throughout the entire state.

Hard water is to blame for dingy looking clothes, dishes with spots and residue, and bathtubs filled with film and soap scum. Hard water causes soap to be less effective due to its reaction to magnesium and calcium, the lather is not as rich and bubbly. Even hair washed in hard water may feel sticky and look dull.  Hard water can also take a toll on household appliances as well as use up more energy. It would also cause serious damage by scale accumulating inside water pipes, water heater, etc.

Easton Water Solutions offers Logan County’s only full-service drive-thru. We provide the convenience of a drive-thru location for water testing, water refills, water coolers, and pool solutions. In the instance where you need something now, we have products available, on-hand, so that you don’t have to wait for the product to be shipped or delivered. Our drive-thru is centrally located at the corner of South Main Street and Lake Avenue in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

Drive-Thru Hours:
Monday-Friday: 8:00 am-5:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am-12:00 pm
